May Crescent Burglary 26th Feb 2010 The Community House, May Crescent was burgled overnight Friday 20th – Saturday 21st February whereby laptop computers, money and a camera were stolen. The Community House is for the use of the community and local residents have worked hard over the years to provide an environment whereby the whole of the community can utilise the building and its equipment to their advantage. It is of great regret that now due to mindless vandals items of property will need to be replaced. If anyone has any positive information in relation to the burglary, please contact PC 1925 GODBER or PC 1246 MELLENTHIN at Durham Constabulary on 0345 60 60 365, alternatively you may call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 anonymously.
Several crimes were reported during the week of 14th-20th Feb in the Trimdon/Sedgefield area - details here.. Some of these crimes have occurred as the result of vehicles or premises being left insecure, Police are asking local residents to secure their property in the best way possible in order to prevent any similar crimes from occurring in the future.

Comment: What was with the British press during the recent Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics? I could not believe the purely negative press. I could understand it from "rags" such as the Sun, or The News of the World. But The Guardian and the Times. What the he##? Your 2012 Olympics had better be good otherwise every journalist outside of the UK will be on your case.

Comment: Congratulations to the first person to be caught on camera allowing his jack russel dog to dirty on the grassed area opposite Langdale Oval, without cleaning it up. This image will be passed on to the local council and I am sure he will enjoy the fixed penalty that he will receive. This occurred at 9.10am on Saturday morning. I did warn people that I would be doing this and I will continue to do so

- St Mary Magdalene Fundraising
 |
 |
|
As it comes around to the Spring our fundraising continues at St. Mary Magdalene. We are now only £5000 short of our £75,000 target. My role is to organise a Grand Summer Draw, as I did last year. Could I ask local businesses to donate prizes or contribute to the first prize of a television?
PLEASE BE GENEROUS.
As I am 14 I find it a struggle to collect these prizes, if you can help in any way please contact me on 06c9luad@fram.durham.sch.uk
